Light and Grace blog was created as I thought of names that would well suit my candle company and my own testimony. Everlasting Light Candle Co. was built on the verse Isaiah 60:19 found in The Holy Bible: in every candle created we fervently pray that it would bring light in dark times, and remind you that Jesus embodies everlasting light, joy, and love. My name is Cora Maeder, I am 18 years old, and I am so grateful to have a platform like this, in order to be a better vessel for the Lord. About me!
That’s when the idea of being able to share the light of Jesus through candles was something I could do for the Lord. So I began brainstorming, and chatting with friends to get their input, and they all encouraged me to do it for the Glory of God!
So I got on amazon, ordered what I thought would make me like twenty candles, but only made me four – and got started. Mother’s Day came along, and I decided I would give all of the special Mothers in my life a candle that I made. This was special to them, in which made it so special to me. Being able to see the joy on their faces gave me a subtle, True joy in my heart, because I knew a seed was just planted in theirs. My goals here on earth include planting as many seeds for the Lord that I can, and shining His light, everywhere I go. My candle company is one way I can reach people with the Light of Jesus, and show them there is peace and comfort in Jesus.
The Bible says, “The sun shall be no more your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give you light; but the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory” (Isaiah 60:19). This verse means so much to me in so many ways. For a while in my life I was living in darkness – I was searching for light, but looking in all the wrong places. I believe that I am here to share my testimony of living in darkness, and coming into new light, Jesus’ Light.
